Enhanced Pulse Compression within Sign-Alternating Dispersion Waveguides

We show theoretically and numerically how to optimize sign-alternating dispersion waveguides for maximum nonlinear pulse compression, while leveraging the substantial increase in bandwidth-to-input peak power advantage of these structures. find that spectral phase can converge a parabolic profile independent uncompensated higher-order dispersion. The combination an easy compress spectrum, with low input requirements, then makes scheme high-quality compression does not require high powered lasers, which is beneficial instance integrated photonic circuits. also new regime soliton shaping dynamic only seen waveguides. Through example SiN-based waveguide, we enables attainment two optical cycles at energy 100 pJ surpasses achieved using similar parameters current state-of-the-art SiN system.
